I was born in Managua, Nicaragua. In 1970 I went to the North of Spain to finish my secondary education. I returned home in 1974 where I lived until I married and moved in 1981 to the United Kingdom with my English husband.
I started local informal art classes in 1982, focusing on general drawings. After having a break to bring up my children I started more formal classes in the Amersham & Wycombe University College in Buckinghamshire, where I completed a one-year Access Course in Art and Design; I also finished an HND in Fine Art Practice and I have subsequently completed a BA (Hons.) in Fine Art Practice for which I gained a First Class Honours Degree.
